AGE GROUP : 5 TO 7

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this exciting and interactive art course, young artists aged 5-7 will embark on a creative journey to explore their imagination, develop their fine motor skills, and express themselves through various art forms. Through a series of 6 modules, students will discover different art techniques, materials and styles, from exploring emotions through art to creating fantasy creatures and cityscapes.

Our experienced instructors will guide students through hands-on activities, demonstrations and encouraging feedback. By the end of this course, students will have developed their artistic skills, built their confidence, and created a portfolio of their artwork. Most importantly, they will have had FUN!

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  1. Develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  2. Encourage creativity, self-expression and imagination.
  3. Introduce various art techniques, materials and styles.
  4. Foster confidence and self-esteem through art-making.
  5. Provide a fun and supportive learning environment.

MODULE 1 : EXPLORING EMOTIONS THROUGH ART

  • Create artwork that represents different emotions (happy, sad, angry, etc.)
  • Use various materials like paint, markers and collage to express emotions.
  • Introduce emotional intelligence and self-awareness concepts.

MODULE 2 : CITYSCAPES AND ARCHITECTURE

  • Explore different building shapes, textures and patterns.
  • Create cityscape artwork using various materials (colourful pens, papers, paint, etc.)
  • Introduce basic concepts.

MODULE 3 : FANTASY CREATURES AND MYTHOLOGY

  • Explore different mythological creatures (dragons, unicorns, superheroes, princesses, etc.)
  • Create fantasy creature artwork using various materials ( paper, paints, etc.)
  • Introduce storytelling and narrative techniques.

MODULE 4 : PORTRAITS AND IDENTITY

  • Create self-portraits and portraits of family members using various materials.
  • Introduce identity and self-expression concepts.

MODULE 5 : ENVIRONMENTAL ART

  • Explore different environmental themes (recycling, conservation, etc.)
  • Create artwork using recycled materials and natural materials (leaves, flowers, twigs, etc.)
  • Introduce environmental awareness and sustainability concepts.

MODULE 6 : ABSTRACT ART AND PATTERNS

  • Introduce print-making and repetition concepts.
  • Create abstract artwork using various materials (paint, markers, etc.)
  • Explore different abstract styles and techniques.

MODULE 7 : MIX MEDIA AND EXPERIMENTATION

  • Create artwork using mix-media tecniques and experimentation.
  • Explore different mixed-media techniques using these materials – paper, markers, paints, soft-pastels, oilpastels, etc.)
  • Encourage creativity and risk-taking.

MODULE 8 : STORYTELLING THROUGH ART

  • Explore different storytelling techniques and materials (comics, illustrations, etc)
  • Create artwork that tells a story.
  • Introduce narrative and sequencing concepts.

MODULE 9 : FINAL PROJECT AND EXHIBITION

  • Students will work on final project that showcases their skills and creativity.
  • Exhibition of students work.
  • Celebration of students work, achievements and progress.

These modules are designed to be more challenging and engaging for kids aged 5-7, while still promoting creativity, self-expression and learning.
